Mobile chemical and radiological laboratory

Mobile chemical and radiological laboratory, manufactured by Validus Special Auto LLC, was handed over to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine by the OSCE Project Coordinator to enhance the ability of emergency response, Mariupol city, Donetsk region, March 30th, 2021. The event was attended by the OSCE Project Coordinator in Ukraine, who handed over the specified laboratory to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

The laboratory is equipped with modern tools for operational analysis of the situation, field radiation reconnaissance and monitoring, means for sampling and identification of unknown substances. It is also equipped with personal protective equipment for personnel, such as protective suits, breathing apparatuses and chemical spills elimination means. The equipment was provided under the project named “Strengthening Ukraine’s ability to respond to emergencies related to hazardous chemicals”, which is being implemented by the OSCE Project Coordinator in Ukraine with financial support from USAID – US Agency for International Development in the OSCE and the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Germany) in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
