The company “Validus Special Auto” has delivered two PM-V heavy pyrotechnic vehicles to meet the needs of the Higher Vocational School of the Lviv State University of Life Safety (located in Vinnytsia).

The implementation of this project was made possible through the support of international partners, including the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

PM-V is a specialized vehicle designed for EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) teams. It is intended for:

• Transporting equipment and protective gear;

• Safely transporting explosive hazards to disposal sites.

Today, such equipment is actively used by units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine during the mitigation of the consequences of enemy shelling and the clearance of territories from remnants of missiles, drones, KABs (guided aerial bombs), and other large-scale munitions.

The vehicle is equipped with:

• A crane-manipulator unit with a lifting capacity of up to 6 tons;

• Specialized safes for transporting hazardous items;

• A public address (PA) system and lighting equipment;

• An autonomous power station;

• Tools for inspecting explosive objects in hard-to-reach places;

• An EOD kit, a motor pump for autonomous water pumping, a gas cutter, a chainsaw, as well as hydraulic and pneumatic tools.

The armored cabin and body provide increased protection for the crew against fragments and blast waves in the event of detonation during the transport of explosives. The design of the folding roof of the cargo compartment, featuring a sliding tent surface and an electric drive, ensures that the blast wave is directed upwards.

The delivered vehicles will become part of the practical training for cadets, who will practice the deployment of pyrotechnic units and operational algorithms for handling explosive hazards.

“Validus Special Auto” continues to develop and manufacture modern specialized equipment that facilitates the training of highly qualified specialists. People’s safety and the pace of recovery of Ukrainian territories depend on their work.
