A photo report on how sappers from the Pyrotechnic, Underwater, and Humanitarian Demining Unit of the Special Emergency Rescue Detachment of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Chernihiv region use Validus Special Auto equipment in their tireless daily work.

Recently, as part of a territory monitoring operation in the Chernihiv region, the heavy pyrotechnic vehicle was used to remove 9 dangerous munitions.

The photos show the vehicle’s special hydraulic tool in action. This tool can lift explosive objects of various sizes and place them in the armored capsule of the HPV.

Following the well-practiced procedure, the sappers transport all removed explosive ordnance to a designated location and destroy them through controlled detonation.
