High-explosive aviation bombs pose a significant threat to people, animals, and the environment. Their explosive power destroys everything around them. Therefore, it is crucial to detect and properly neutralize such deadly finds in a timely manner. This was exactly what the Pyrotechnic Unit of the 2nd Special Rapid Response Center of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine accomplished in the Kharkiv region. The operation was complicated by the fact that the FAB-500 high-explosive aviation bomb was located near a highway, and its destruction on site could have endangered civilians. Thanks to the extensive capabilities and equipment of the heavy-type Pyrotechnic Vehicle produced by Validus Special Auto, the problem was quickly resolved without any damage! The FAB-500 was placed in the vehicle’s special armored capsule with the highest level of protection and safely transported to a designated area for final disposal in complete safety and comfort.
