On 24 November, rescuers in Lviv region received two more special rescue vehicles of the SARM-L passenger type. The vehicles were purchased under the State Programme for Improving Road Safety in Ukraine until 2020. The special rescue vehicles based on the FORD RANGER chassis are designed to support rescuers in carrying out priority rescue operations, eliminating the consequences of road accidents, searching for victims and providing them with first aid, organising communication and notification during emergency response.

The off-road vehicles are equipped with all the necessary equipment, namely hydraulic emergency rescue equipment (cutter, unclamp, jacks), pneumatic emergency rescue equipment (pneumatic cushions), primary fire extinguishing equipment, stabilisation systems for damaged vehicles, small mechanisation emergency rescue equipment, chanter tools, navigation and warning equipment, lighting installation, emergency lights, and auxiliary equipment.

Therefore, for rescuers working at the scene of an accident, these vehicles will allow them to respond more quickly to emergencies and eliminate them and provide professional assistance to the victims.

And today the new vehicles will go on combat duty.
