Two modern high-mobility fire engines have joined the vehicle fleet of the State Emergency Service unit ensuring the safety of Putyla region residents.
The operational area covers 884 km² of mountainous territory, 46 settlements, and encompasses the Putyla, Selyatyn, Ust-Putyla, and Konyatyn local communities.
Every emergency call here presents unique challenges. Steep switchbacks, forest and unpaved roads, sharp inclines, and remote villages can significantly hinder standard specialized vehicles. During heavy precipitation, floods, or blizzards, certain road sections become even harder to traverse.
Equally important is the fact that forests cover a significant portion of the area. In the event of a fire, firefighters often must operate far from main highways.
These exact conditions demand equipment capable of operating reliably where conventional roads end.
